American World Champion Driver Phil Hill drove this futuristic Chaparral-Chevrolet 2F Coupe in his last season of racing, 1967. The car was an unlikely entry in the rough-road mountain-circuit Targa Florio on the island of Sicily, and the local tifosi had never quite seen anything like this Winged Wonder - also known as the ‘Plastic Fantastic’ from its moulded glass-fibre structure -which introduced so much new technology to world-class motor sport.
